Harold "Hal" Jordan was a fighter jet pilot and one of the Green Lanterns of Space Sector 2814. He was assigned to train three other humans who were all chosen by the rings.
He met the newly-formed Justice League through his best friend Barry Allen, who suggested that they invite him. Reluctant at first, he agreed to join the team. Soon enough, he and his new superhero team went into action to stop the war between the Amazons and the Atlanteans and defeat Ares.
