Justice League Dark is a 2024 horror superhero film based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name. A spin-off/crossover to Swamp Thing, it is the 29th film in the DC Extended Universe and the 7th installment of the Bronze Age. It was released on November 5, 2024.

The film is followed by sequel/crossover, Raven and the Terror of Trigon in 2030, and a sequel, Justice League Dark II in 2031.

The film introduces Deadman into DCEU.

Synopsis[]

John Constantine and Zatanna set out capture and defeat Enchantress, who just recently escaped containment. Amanda Waller, deciding her Task Force X wouldn't be capable of handling the mission, commissions the occults to stop her.

Plot[]

2,900 BC, in what is today Central America, Enchantress rule over an ancient city-state as a goddess. However, a group of mages led by Manitou is able to defeat her and seals her away. In the present day, Enchantress is at the sight of the ancient city-state and

The film was announced at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con. Elizabeth Gillies and Matt Ryan were confirmed to return as Zatanna and John Constantine. The Swamp Thing was also slated to return.

Trivia[]

  • There were planes to combine the story of Lucifer Morningstar's war against Dream into this film, however it was decided to stay apart.
