Professor Eobard Thawne is the archenemy of Barry Allen/Flash and the main antagonist of Flashpoint.
He was a twisted sociopathic criminal, with a brilliant mind and successfully recreated the event that turned Barry Allen turn into the Flash, gaining himself the power of superspeed. Thawne was born in the 25th century and traveled through time to battle with his archenemy from the past.
He was the cause of Nora Allen's death and had been terrorizing her son Barry throughout his life.

Through this, he has the ability to move at incredible speeds, as well as access other abilities the Speed Force does not grant.
