Kal-El, legally named Clark Joseph Kent, is a superhero known by many as Superman, a survivor of Krypton, the host of the Growth Codex, a investigative reporter for the Daily Planet, the husband of Lois Lane, and the founding member and leader of the Justice League.
Born to Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van of the House of El, the couple realized that Krypton was doomed to be completely destroyed with their entire civilization going with it. To save their son from the impending doom of their planet, they sent Kal to Earth, where he would be found by kindly farmers Jonathan and Martha Kent in Smallville and was adopted by the couple, naming him "Clark Joseph Kent". Using his maturing superpowers, he defends the people of Earth from various threats of all sorts, such as the terraforming attempt by the Kryptonian warlord Dru-Zod and the Sword of Rao, using the alias Superman.
As Superman, he became the world's most beloved and famous superhero, becoming known as the Greatest Superhero of All-Time. His career led to him having various enemies, the most prominent one being the CEO of LexCorp, Lex Luthor, who possesses great unwavering hatred for the alien.
During a time at the peak of Lex Luthor's career, he first met with Bruce Wayne. When it was apparent to both of them about Luthor's ill intent, they faced eachother as their alter egos, being manipulated into fighting eachother by Luthor. Luthor later revealed to the world about his bleeding edge creation, Metallo, with its true purpose of eliminating Superman. He and Batman joined forces with Wonder Woman to fight Metallo which ended in a victory for both of them. following their victory, he and Wonder Woman decided to form the Justice League, where they would fight many battles together.
He was met with Kara Zor-El, his cousin from Earth-1, who revealed that she was imprisoned by Brainiac, who at one point in the past travelled to his dimension, Brainiac eventually tracked her down and he attempted to take Metropolis, going into conflict with the heroes of Earth, Superman died after Doomsday, a creature created by Lex Luthor, killed him.
After Darkseid's Second Invasion of Earth, he was resurrected and was forced to join Darkseid through being swayed by the Anti-Life Equation, losing his free will, leading him to turn against the Justice League and the people of Earth against his own will.

Superman is exceptionally kind-hearted, possessing a strong sense of justice, honor, empathy, honesty, patriotism, and innate selfless benevolence. Jor-El foresaw that his son would become "an ideal" for humanity to strive towards.

Kryptonian physiology: As a Kryptonian, Superman possesses a wide variety of immense, seemingly godlike abilities. On a planet near a red star, Superman would have physical attributes nearly identical to those of humans, but while on a planet near a star that is younger and brighter than Krypton's, he is granted many new abilities and powers that surpass the capabilities of humans and Metahumans alike.

- Superhuman strength: Superman possesses immense levels of strength that is virtually incalculable and limitless, as he is able to carry, lift and exert billions of tons of force.
- Flight: Clark can fly via manipulations to his own gravitational field, taking advantage of Earth's weaker gravity to propel himself through the skies and even beyond the planet's atmosphere. Upon mastering this technique, Superman can fly at hypersonic speeds that allow him to circle the globe in moments.
- Nigh-invulnerability: Superman's body is virtually indestructible, allowing him to withstand any and all Earth weapons, the extreme heat of an oil rig conflagration, the extreme cold of the Arctic, exposure to the vacuum of outer space, falls from great heights, and a high-speed collision with a mountaintop without injury.
- Accelerated healing: Superman is shown to heal at incredible rates when exposed to the solar radiation of a yellow sun.
- Superhuman speed: Superman can run and fly faster than the speed of sound, he regularly communicates Flash while he was running.
- Superhuman reflexes: Superman's speed extends to his reflexes as well, as he managed to catch bullets and dodge enemy attacks.
- Superhuman stamina: Superman almost never seems to grow tired. He is able to survive flying at high speeds into outer space and underwater. After reaching his full potential, Superman hardly showed signs of fatigue.
- Superhuman vision: Superman possesses superhuman eyesight that encompasses a variety of sensory capabilities including telescopic, infrared, ultraviolet, X-ray, and gamma-ray visual capabilities that allow him to see the entire electromagnetic spectrum when he desires, through mental focus.
- Heat vision: Superman possesses the ability to emit beams of intense heat and concentrated plasma from his eyes that can reach temperatures of 5500 °C.
- Telescopic vision: Superman has the ability to focus his vision to see great distances.
- X-ray vision: Superman can focus his vision past layers of matter to see through them.
- Superhuman hearing: Superman is able to hear at extreme variances of sound and pitch frequency, allowing him to pick up numerous sounds, including both infra- and ultra-sound, from immense distances.
- Superhuman smell: Superman has incredibly acute olfactory senses.

- Expert Journalist: Clark Kent, as a reporter for the very famous and respected Daily Planet newspaper, is an exceptionally skilled investigative reporter, displaying remarkable insight and investigative skills right away after getting hired as a junior reporter, quickly climbing through the ranks.
- Expert social intuit: Superman, as both Kal-El and Clark Kent, has a considerable degree of social confidence, making him highly talented in intuitively determining how to interact with others. He's also good with kids, as he was frequently requested to come to children's birthday parties.[1]
- Tactician: Superman has proven himself a very capable tactician in combat, as when facing off with the far more skilled and experienced enemies.
- Leadership: Being the leader of the Justice League, Superman has a natural talent in leadership, with even the much more experienced Batman.
- Disguise: Clark managed to successfully falsify his identity, and stay hidden as he traveled the world for many years, with even the extremely skilled reporter Lois Lane needing weeks of research to track him down. He even fools the regular population by wearing glasses.
- Skilled combatant: Despite not having any formal combat training, Clark is a formidable fighter when facing most opponents due to his tremendous strength and various powers. When facing other Kryptonians with more combat experience, Clark is shown to be an improvisational learner and an effective brawler.
- Indomitable will: Superman has tremendous determination and strength of will, since he refuses to ever hunker down and give up, even when placed against seemingly insurmountable odds.
- Free will: Being a Kryptonian born of biological reproduction, Kal-El possesses a more complete and higher free will than his fellow men and even his parents. Jor-El had in fact predicted that his son might have the right to choose to protect humanity or have Krypton be reborn on Earth.

- Kryptonite: Superman is vulnerable to the effects of Kryptonite, a radioactive xenomineral native to Krypton.
- Anti-Life Equation: Superman was stripped off his free will when Darkseid took a hold of the Anti-Life Equation. Becoming violent and subservient to his anger and the sense of vengeance.

Equipment[]
- Kryptonian Supersuits: Clark wears a red and blue Kryptonian skinsuit as the superhero Superman. The suits were crafted from an immensely durable material, and are adorned with the House of El glyph on its chest.
- Glasses: Clark wears glasses to conceal his identity.
- Starcraft: As a baby, Kal-El was placed into a small starship equipped with a phantom drive, which his parents used to send him to Earth.
- House of El Command Key: Clark once possessed a piece of Kryptonian technology made of liquid geo that allowed him to enter the Fortress of Solitude found in the Arctic.The key held within it the artificial intelligence program of Jor-El's conscious self. He wore it around his neck as a pendant during his years searching for his origin.
- Growth Codex: Kal-El's cells have been bonded to the Kryptonian growth codex by Jor-El, which contain the genetic makeup of over a billion Kryptonians.
